Nike Sq Dymo STR8-FIT Driver

Nike SQ Dymo STR8-FIT Driver

The New Nike Driver for 2009 could be for everyone!

I have been lucky enough to experience the new Nike Driver recently and feel I must voice my opinion. It is a great club and will be in the hands of many golfers very quickly.

In following with the tendency to go square, the new SQ Dymo comes in both a square head and a more traditional round head. Many golfers ask why do companies continue with both shapes, and the answer is quite simple. A square head goes straight and is harder to work the ball in different directions. The traditional round head can be worked, allowing the golfer to hit a fade or draw, which is not as easy with the square technology. Both of these heads for the Dymo are easy to look at and just as easy to hit. I took a liking to the square head and found it to be very forgiving.

Loft

Nike is realizing that more options is a good thing in golf, due to the vast number of different swings. Thus The Nike SQ Dymo STR8-FIT driver comes in 5 lofts 8.5 9.5 10.5 11.5 and HL. Allowing all golfers to find the club that is just right for him or her!

The big change

The STR8-FIT

Just what is STR8-FIT. NIke has, like a lot of golf companies, has started experimenting with a changeable head. I have to admit that I feel that this system that NIKE has invented may be the most simple yet most productive design on the market. STR8-FIT refers to the new hosel system that with a wrench, quickly removes the shaft from the head and can be repositioned to change the lie of the face. AS described by NIKE, this adjustment allows the user "8 unique head positions, delivering 8 different ball flights to either dramatically correct your ball flight subtly perfect it". These positions range from open to closed and are easy to locate.

The wrench is stored in a neat little pocket on the head cover and is really easy to use.
As is standard with NIKE. The SQ Dymo STR8-FIT comes with a selection of shafts, however most come with the PROFORCE AXIV.

After hitting the Square SQ Dymo for awhile I found it to be very forgiving and easy to swing. The impact was very solid and to my surprise the sound was not as bad as the first generations NIke produced. I thought it was a very user friendly driver and would recommend that any golfer fighting with consistency should try it. I think that golfers with high handicaps will be rewarded instantly with the STR8-FIT system and after a little trial and error at the range will find a setting that will improve their driving accuracy immensely.

The NIKE Sq Dymo STR8-FIT Eight Settings, 5 lofts, 5 shaft flexes, A Club for everyone!
